I know The Wager gets brought up a lot on Reddit and it's well deserved; the book is a fantastic tale, with fact being stranger than fiction coupled with Grann's compelling prose.
Now I'm getting fascinated with WW2, and specifically from the soldier's perspective. I loved the stories told in Band of brothers, the Pacific, and Masters of the Air.
Any non-fiction books in that general arena, with a driving narrative like The Wager?
Appreciate your suggestions!
