Some of my favourite books are White Noise, American psycho, The bell jar, Catch-22 etc which have a heavy theme of satire and deconstructing things such as consumerism and things that are just presumed normal in life. Any other books in this vain?

Pynchon does this in his works a lot. *Lolita* is also a heavy critique of Western culture, though obvious content warning. Vonnegut maybe, though his stuff is a bit broader than just Western culture itself, I’d say.
Lighter, more specific content might be *Bunny* by Mona Awad, which is more about academia and a specific sort of Western subculture.
Linda Hogan, James Baldwin,
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams – a classic series for a reason
Earthlings by Sayaka Murata – only for those with strong stomachs. Focused on Japanese culture, but many of the critiques apply broadly.
Radicalized by Cory Doctorow – short stories, several of which fit your requirements
Irene Handl’s the Souix absolutely skewers the rich gentry of the American south. Please, please read it.
A People’s History of the United States by Howard Zinn will blow your hair back.
Mark Twain – Innocents Abroad, or Letters From Earth.
