I read The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt a few weeks ago and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since. I haven't felt this way about a book in forever. It was 775 pages but I would have been content to read so much more. That's how much I loved it.
The first half in particular really clicked with me. I think Donna Tartt wrote the experience of being a teenager and figuring yourself out incredibly well. The way she wrote Theo's coming of age really resonated with me.
So with that in mind, can someone recommend me something like The Goldfinch? Something with well-written coming of age themes. Preferably not too graphic since I'm in high school.
