Have been reading a thing (It's a fanfic), and it makes me really want to find a crime/thriller kind of story where the detective who tries to solve the murders, and their helper / closest aide in the situation is actually the murderer who is trying to corrupt the detective/cop to their side. This works since the way the detective is trying to solve the case, is through delving into how the murderer thinks. And so they kind of ends up having the way the murderer is thinking bleeding into their very self.
Will vastly prefer if the detective and helper are both women, but I'm desperate for anything like this dynamic anyway.
(I have known Hannibal already if anyone find that came up to mind)
