Hi! I have been in a slump for a while not able to find a book that can keep my interest.
Historical fiction usually does the trick – some of my past favourite reads have been The Birth House, Island of Sea Women, Daughters of the Deer, Alias Grace, The Light Between Oceans, The Day the Falls Stood Still. When I was younger, The Luxe and a Great and Terrible Beauty were huge hits, and I'd be totally cool with some teen/YA recommendations!
As you can see, I especially enjoy female protagonists! Bonus points for Canadian/Indigenous focus, but totally not necessary (Island of Sea Women was what made me eager to expand beyond Canadiana, one of the best books I've ever read!)
