Looking for a thriller that will actually have me on the edge of my seat

I'm dying for a thriller that will actually keep me on the edge of my seat and catch my attention. Ideally one I won't be able to figure out one chapter in.

Books I liked:
-karin slaughters grant county and will trent series(they were a little harlequin romancy but I loved how dark and gritty they were)
-symbiont- mira grant
-the whisper man- Alex north

Books I LOVED:
-Feed series by mira grant
-silence of the lambs
-gone girl
-girl on the train
-wool series

Books I hated:
-freida mcfadden(i just can't stand her writing, it feels like thrillers for toddlers)
-the silent patient
-all good people here(her podcast is trash I don't know why I expected her book to be good)
