In desperate need of new authors/books

I love Flannery O’Connor, Toni Morrison, Cormac McCarthy, Graham Green, Barbara Kingsolver, aka I want it to be existential and intense. Bonus points if I feel like the symbolism is way beyond me lol. I’d prefer more modern authors as I have less exposure
