Looking for fiction or nonfiction books that have a lot of gossip in them. I want to gasp, make a stank face, exhale deeply, etc. Or maybe feel like I'm back home with my mom (late night coffee/sweet treat sesh) as she tells me about a decade-old family drama that makes me want to throw hands at family members.
Open to suggestions, thank you!! 🙂

The Lucy Barton books by Elizabeth Strout are EXACTLY this. Even the mom part
Nearly all the men in Lagos are mad by Damilare Kuku is a great book for gossip! It’s a bunch of stories about people living their lives – trying to find love (or just a one night stand), family drama, exes asking for unreasonable things… it’s funny and some of the people made me angry!
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo!
* Little Fires Everywhere
* The Help
* The Dutch House (and most other Ann Patchett novels, I think?)
* The Vanishing Half
* most Kristin Hannah novels
*The Count of Monte Cristo* is what you’re looking for.
Forever Amber by Kathleen Winsor – the antiheroine stirs up enough nonsense to make Scarlett O’Hara look like a Quaker schoolmarm.
Also, the gloriously trashy 1980s novels of Judith Krantz, Jackie Collins and especially the book Lace by Shirley Conran.
