I recently happened to read Prima Facie by Suzie Miller and was left in tears, anger and moved. I haven’t heard much talk about it so I’ll just give a premise and my reaction.
So our story follows Tessa, a young, successful defence attorney. She defends the offenders, criminals and sometimes even sexual offenders. However, the tables turn when she finds herself in the victim’s shoes when one day she is sexually assaulted by a co worker. All that she has believe as a defence attorney comes at a toss and she is on the other side of the law in a blink.
One in three women are sexually assaulted in UK, and this powerful story not only spreads an important message for the society but is CAPTIVATING AND GRIPPING FROM THE VERY START.
It was the easiest 5 star I’ve given to a book.
