I recently got into Greek Mythology. After watching some movies, reading about many of the myths, and now reading some retellings, I've really come to enjoy how the story world doesn't have just one author but has many over thousands of years. Even today authors write retellings and add another room to the house of it all.
Marvel is like that too, with multiple comics writing new stories and them being labeled as part of a multiverse.
Video games like Warcraft have multiple novels from different authors all adding to the story as well.
I don't know how you all feel about fan fiction but maybe that could count as well. I haven't read any so I can't give an opinion (unless you count Paradise Lost as a fan fiction of the Bible).
What do you think of all this?. Do you know any other story worlds that are a collective of multiple peoples stories? Are you a fan of it?
