I love reading about the lavish lifestyles of that era. Are there any (actually good) books?

The Lord Peter Wimsey books by D.L. Sayers are mysteries set in the 1920s and 30s and Wimsey is definitely an aristocrat.

{{ Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh }} also comes to mind but it’s been a long time since I read Waugh and I vaguely remember that wasn’t my favourite of his. Might want to look at his earlier novels.

It’s non-fiction, but “The Riviera Set” by Mary Lovell was a really fun read, about the lifestyles of the rich and famous during the golden age of aristocratic travel.

The Downton Abbey books themselves are really nice too, a lot about what went on behind the scenes, but they do showcase a lot of original material from the 1920s. It’s impressive how many real antiques were used on screen, especially with costumes.
