I have never loved reading, I get distracted after one page and I feel that is because I am never fully engaged in what I read unless it has meaning to my own life.

This past week I finished my second book ever – the first being in my senior year of high school when I needed to pass an English class for college – titled “The Mountain is You”. This book really spoke to me and kept me engaged because I have had a rough past, self sabotage has been a key factor, and it was so nice to know that I can be the real reason of change in my life.

I’m currently halfway through another book called “The Psychology of Money”. I’ve always struggled with money and this book has already taught me so much, shown me so many different perspectives and lessons about money, and I am excited to read the rest of it.

My question is, as a 23 year old male who is finally feeling like his brain is starting to fully function: which books should I read to help me improve myself as a person, my quality of life, and my overall control of who I want to be as a person?

Give Take It All But I Won’t Fall by Dawell Robinson a read. It’s a nonfiction self-help book that covers a lot of mistakes he made in life while trying to be the one that breaks his family cycle with all odds against him. It has financial knowledge also.
