I've been a lurker in this thread for a long time, but now that I'm planning a long trip, I need your advice on a good amount of books to bring with me.
I've been a casual reader all my life until a few years ago when I discovered historical fiction. Books like:
- The Century Trilogy – Ken Follett
- The 5 books of Kingsbridge – Ken Follett
- Q – Luther Blisset
- The Name of the Rose – Umberto Eco
were like a drug, and I discovered my passion for the genre. Do you guys have any suggestions based on these?
