I know that this horse has been beaten to death in this sub before. I checked out the previous posts and saw that there were many of them with great and detailed suggestions; and that happens to be my issue. I got overwhelmed, and can't seem to digest anything being said in there.
My humble request is to just name the essential Russian authors, and not their books (which I'll check out pertaining to my interest in the topic/theme). I know this might be annoying to some, but I'm really looking to get into Russian literature and this would be a big help for me to start.
