I just finished Grapes of Wrath and it was so good and so beautiful. I’m ready to once again read a really depressing book filled with characters dealing with tough times.
I also love The Bell Jar, The Road, Beloved, Cuckoo’s Nest, and Flowers for Algernon to name a few.
Edit: preferably literary classic but I’m open minded
