He most recently devoured The Stand by Stephen King and has tried some other King books without much success. He also likes sci fi like Roadside Picnic, has read lots of Vonnegut and some fantasy like Lord of the Rings.
Many thanks for your suggestions 🙂

Here are some books I think most guys would like.
For pure actions and laughs, try Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinnamin.
For something to get immersed in, try The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss.
For a modern fantasy series, try Storm Front by Jim Butcher. (This is the first book of the Dresden files, there are like 14+ books in the series, but each is a self-contained story.)
For a sci-fi space opera, Empire of Silence by Christopher Ruocchio (Suneater series) is quite good, and I’ve heard it gets even better in the later books.
Finally, Red Rising by Pierce Brown is a blend of sci-fi and fantasy with an underdog hero.
Red Rising Saga by Pearce Brown
Swan Song by Robert Mccammon
