finding myself in a bit of a rut.
i got back into reading a couple years ago and i’ve been absolutely loving it, but i feel like i haven’t been loving the books i’m reading as much as i was in the beginning. so i’m looking for books that will make me excited to read them and that i will be thinking about constantly until i finish them (and then still after).
some of the books that have stood out to me as favorites are (in no particular order):
the martian and project hail mary — ready player one —circe — the song of achilles — the darkness outside us — pretty much all tj klune (under the whispering door, in the lives of puppets, house in the cerulean sea) — the twilight books……i know. they are terrible but in the best way. i just love being in that universe even if its so cheesy and awful. in fact, the last book that i read that had me hooked and thinking about it constantly was midnight sun and ever since finishing that there’s been a hole in me and that is what lead me here looking for recs lol
