So, reading stopped being an excitement to me but a burden. I read twice a day for two hours, so making it four hours daily.
Now instead of enjoying the experience pridefuly I always dread the time and wish for it to pass, "Oh how far into the session am I in? 2 hours pass already".
I could take a break but I am a quarter into Anna Karenina and halfway into leviathan Falls so i want to finish both and I am kinda excited to read Gene Wolfe's New Sun series already but I have to read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy first, on hindsight, I should rather read the more exciting one first but Hitchiker is not bad and I had it for a long time but since I wasn't that much into reading so I am kinda guilty for that.
It is not the content that bothers me, more so the time, in a perfect situation the reading itself should be fulfiling and I should dread time passing to quickly not waiting for it to pass.
That is a pattern throughout my life now, very regimented day and I wish to pass iit as quickly as possible instead of enjoying my experience. Though if you notice the time staying still that is not ideal for anyone's experience.

personally i just try to slot reading in here and there when i have pockets of time.
i feel like if youre starting to dread reading you should either take a break or maybe skip directly to a book youre more excited about. if youre reading for leisure then it should serve you and not make your life worse, ideally
Why is your approach to reading so rigid? I read when I want, sometimes its 4 hours a day, sometimes its none, but with your system it looks more like a chore than a hobby.
Hello! I had this with tv-shows, thinking you have to finish something before you move on. Or thinking I wasn’t enjoying a read, but later realising that I just didn’t like the book. If you’re reading out of duty and not because you really feel like it, you’ll kill the joy of it.
There is an impossible number of books in the world, you won’t be able to read all of them. So if you want to stop the two you’re reading, and skip the hitchhikers to go straight to the book you actually want to read, then do that.
Life is short, and you can always to these ones return later, when you might feel more like reading them 🙂
