I don't just mean surrealism as in the genre. I've been looking for any piece of literature, whether a tale, short story, or full on book that's written in a "nonsensical yet really meaningful" way if it makes sense.
The best example I have is in Patrick Ness's Release, where at the end of every chapter there's a small tidbit that's really confusing to read, very metaphorical, very much nonsensical, but clearly holding a lot of meaning. Does anyone know of any works like that?
Something like open prose poetry maybe? But even then I'm not sure if it's quite what I'm looking for
I can't be too picky since I haven't been able to find anything like this in general, but I do tend to lean towards very psychological or romantic themes if possible but I'll literally take anything right now
