I’ve enjoyed Sam Kean (Disappearing Spoon, etc..) and Stephen Johnson (the Ghost Map, etc…). Any suggestions for non-fiction science history books or favorites you’ve read?

For physics (quantum mechanics and cosmology), I found **The God Equation** by Michio Kaku enlightening (unfortunate title aside). It presents the progression of equations over the centuries that sought to model the universe. He keeps it from being dry by giving anecdotes about the scientists that created the equations.
