My 11 year old daughter has been cutting (she is getting therapy) and really wants to read Girl in Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow. I think the book is too graphic (and may give her ideas) and has too much mature content for her age. Are there any books that are similar? TIA

Should you maybe ask her therapist instead? That way too, if you refuse the book she wants but she sneaks it, the therapist is ready.
