I am going through a reading slump and some pretty crap personal and professional situations. I am tired of falling back on my tried and tested mysteries or spicy romance book, tbh and want to read something new.
I grew up reading Agatha Christie and Enid Blyton books. Also a big fan of Cormoran Strike ( Robert Gailbraith/ JK Rowling even though I know the author is canceled) and Sherlock Holmes (AC Doyle).
Does anyone have recommendations on more contemporary British mystery authors with a similar vibe to the ones above? I realize this is a bit of a niche request. I don’t live in England, but absolutely love British mysteries.

Stuart Turton. His books aren’t necessarily set in Britain, but he is British.
