I'm not talking about romance novels à la Emily Henry, but at best series with books that function similarly to seasons: Always the same or a similar (growing) cast of characters, diverse and evolving relationships, betrayals, twists and turns, a healthy dose of melodrama.
Books that feel like Grey's Anatomy, The OC, New Amsterdam, maybe Gilmore Girls or Virgin River (and yes, I know the latter are books). Any recs or am I a lost cause?
