I got too used with ao3 and now I can't find books that interests me anymore. Normally I search for something which contains dark topics with unreliable narrator whose hurmor is whack. Bookstore literature just bores me.
I'm fine with dark topics and loveable characters getting things they never deserved but life sucks. Not really into romance as the driving force.
Trying to give books another go, still read lots of fanfics in my freetime and manga.
Please give me the best you have got.

The Locked Tomb Series. The first book is Gideon the Ninth. It has elements of Sci-Fi and fantasy. It is written by a former fanfic writer who blew up from this series, so that might ease you into something like a more traditional novel with some fanfic vibes. It’s advertised as, “Lesbain Necromancers in space explore a haunted castle,” if you’re into that stuff.
The PoV switches for each book in the series and it is always the least reliable character. Lots of humor and dark themes. There is romantic undertones but not much actual on page romance.
