I tried searching in this subreddit and couldn't find any recommendations. I want books that are written by contemporary authors and describe philsophies/fears/ideas of certain points in the 21st century. I'm reading Normal People and it's very refreshing to read young adults talk about modern life. Bo Burnham does a good job at this eventhough he's not an author. Eighth grade is fantastic. So are Make Happy and Inside. What good novels are there?
