Looking for book I heard about

So a while go I’ve heard someone talking about a book, where some dude with superpowers was robbing a bank, and during the robbery he offed someone, and as he was doing that he was rationalizing it that nobody will mess with him afterwards.
I think it was something by Brandon Sanderson but not sure yet. Does anyone know the name of the book by any chance?
