Hi! I would like to read a book about the current intricacies of Chinese culture as well as more about the history (non-fiction). I don't know much but would like to get a pretty comprehensive view. Most of the books I saw were by white writers so preferably a writer who is actually chinese but if it's a really interesting book anything is fine. Multiple recommendations to read together are also great!
