Not like it’s hard to find, but I’m curious for people’s experience reading pop-sci, especially in biology (plants, animals, humans, microbes), but other sciences (not including much math) are okay too.
I have recently gotten obsessed with this genre, after reading An Immense World (Yong), Bitch (Cooke), The Truth About Animals (Cooke).
I also lately read The Sting of the Wild (Schmidt).
So what are some of your favorites of this genre? Hard science is okay, but not looking for a textbook. Make me want to go back to school for a career change (I kind of already do). Not really looking for “life lessons from penguins” kind of books. Just straight science.
My TBR includes I Contain Multitudes (Yong), The Greatest Show on Earth (Dawkins) and Entangled Life (Sheldrake).
