The boy loves him some Wings of Fire, and we’re looking for something with similar appeal. Doesn’t need to be dragon-centered, rather just a book (or series) the average 8 yr old boy would be into.
The Menagerie! It’s also by Tui T Sutherland, and it’s even better than Wings of Fire. For some reason, it doesn’t have any press, but it’s a trilogy about a lonely kid who finds a secret zoo of magical creatures. He’ll love it and you’ll love it.
