I don’t want 100% brainless fluff, but I just finished reading Oryx and Crake, which was very good but also very heavy and hopeless and am looking for something less… full of despair, I guess? And possibly something with loveable characters.
Open to any genre but ideally it would be cool if the book had women in it and those women were not subject to eternal suffering.
Also very open to seasonal fall-themed suggestions, but that isn’t a must.
