OK so ive asked Quora as well and no help but i read this book DECADES ago its a western.
Not The Oregon Trail just to clarify.
It flip flops between when the protagonist was a kid in the 1860s or something and the 1960s when hes old and owns a bunch of hotels or something in vegas? it starts with him reminiscing and its told in flashbacks. His sister gets married off at 12 or whatever. Theres violence and hard living. ya know a family friendly book lol. I THINK the title was tangerine this or that, something like that perhaps? maybe not. ive checked Tangerine like titles and nothing familiar.
Not Blood Meridian either lol
anybody here know what this book is? pretty sure its hidden in a core memory like Clan of The Cavebear series ha!
