    1. I haven’t read this yet, so I can’t say too much about it, but “Willow Weep for Me” by Meri Nana-Ama Danquah might fit your criteria.

    2. kathleen glasgow has amazing books dealing with mh and a whole range of issues. girl in pieces really stuck with me. they’re fiction and absolutely a book to relate and bawl to

    3. Hmm, my recommendation for depression reading is the darkest, bleakest, driest humour you can possibly find. Chuck Palahniuk is a good choice. So are Vonnegut, Heller, and Hunter S. Thompson.

On reflection, these people are all seriously lacking in melanin. I’ve had Paul Beatty’s “White Boy Shuffle” on my ‘recommended to me list” for a while.

    4. I Want to Die but I want to Eat Ttbeobokki by Baek Sehee.

It’s basically a transcript/self reflection by a Korean woman with depression and anxiety and her therapist.
