Hi! I absolutely love thrillers and mysteries, but with the political climate and fears going around, I am trying to find some positive energy from what I read. It doesn’t have to be self-help or “How to Smile!”, but rather, books that are more adventurous maybe? Wanting to avoid more of the dark stuff at the moment. Any thoughts? TIA!

I wouldn’t necessarily describe it as adventurous but Anxious People by Fredrik Backman is the best book I’ve read this year. It’s fiction but it’s one of those restore your faith in humanity kind of books.

**Project Hail Mary** by Andy Weir. A funny, creative, fast-paced sci-fi adventure across the stars to save humanity. Guaranteed to restore your faith in humanity – at least until your next doomscrolling session.
