Hey all! If you assume I'm having a bit of a time of it right now – well you'd be right! I just read Dolly Alderton's Good Material and I enjoyed it (I have my qualms with certain aspects of the writing but that's neither here not there), but I really appreciated the depiction of a life that doesn't really know where it's going, as well as the disjointed and realistic depiction of relationships (and ones that ended recently). Seeing as that is the situation I'm in at the moment myself, particularly back in a hometown after years out, I'm looking for anything on the subject. Any genre is open – maybe even a strange crime thriller about someone back in their hometown is exactly what I need – or your straighter ones like Alderton will do. Cheers in advance!
