I’m currently around 40% through reading Team of Rivals and I think it may end up being one of my favourite books of all time. Obviously the topic is interesting, but it’s mostly the way it’s written that makes it so amazing.
I’ve read a few history books and although the topics themselves were often interesting the books overall were a bit boring, E.g. the silk roads, Empireland. The only other history book I enjoyed a similar amount was Midnight in Chernobyl.
Any recommendations for history books that are similarly well-written?
