Hi everyone, my girlfriend loves books and I'd like to surprise her with a new one, but I don't read too much myself. Could anyone suggest some books she might enjoy? She's read a lot but I know these to be some of her favourite:
- Things I Don't Want to Know (Deborah Levy)
- Intimacies (Katie Kitamura)
- The Strangers (Jon Bilbao)
- Station Eleven
- Animal Farm
- Perks of Being a Wallflower
-Call Me By Your Name
I'll take a look into any that anyone suggests:) thanks!

The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
The Bobiverse series by Dennis E Taylor
The Stand by Stephen King (after a virus kills 99% of the population a la Station 11)
Some of my favorites from the last year or 2!
If she likes Animal Farm, she’d probably really enjoy 1984 also by Orwell.
Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson – it has a similar slowness as Station Eleven with a mystery element sprinkled in. TW for SA
I suggest getting the Goodreads app ppl post all the books they read and ppl rate and review them.
On Goodreads my name is also Tieriana same as here.
I would just like to present the perspective that I am someone that loves to read and I would very much not want to receive a book as a gift. I might be weird in that but I’m very picky and I’d be displeased spending hours reading something someone thinks I would like.
I definitely recommend seeing if she has a wishlist or TBR on Goodreads or another app. With that said Emily St John Mandel (author or Station Eleven) has other books that are unrelated but feature characters from Station Eleven specifically The Glass Hotel.
