Looking for a finished or soon to be finished fantasy series that is something I can really sink my teeth into, like real interesting world building. But preferably with shorter, <500 page, novels. I want to be able to easily take breaks in between an entry to read something else without being stuck at a cliffhanger.
I typically prefer more character focused works but I'm up for branching out.
Ranger's Apprentice, Cirque du Freak, and Abhorsen/The Old Kingdom series have been some of my favorite YA/middle grade reads.
It's been a while but I have read The Lord of the Rings and the Inheritance Cycle. And have been working my way through everything T Kingfisher has published.
