I really like reading about the early colonial period, but I'm having trouble finding books that suit this interest (or at least, I'm having trouble finding books that are actually available, and not just some manuscript that's mentioned once in a wikipedia article but nowhere to be found elsewhere). Particularly, I'd like to find more books about the 16th century colonization of the Caribbean and Mesoamerica. If the books are in Spanish, then that is also fine. I've read some books about the Mayans but I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations about the Aztecs, or Zapotecs, or Tainos, as well.
