I’m looking for books along the thread of The Circle by David Eggers or Mr. Penumbra’s Book Store? Some have recommended Blake Crouch or Andy Weir (who I’ve also read already), but not a biggest fan of the science-led prose or narration that feels a little more fitting for a TV screenplay. Looking for something that feels like if A24’s Ex Machina were a book..?

I loved the Circle but haven’t read the sequel, the Every. It seems to have good reviews though.
I think a good chunk of Cory Doctorow books would be a good fit! The short story collection Radicalized is amazing.
