Whenever I read, I listen to either the Skyrim video game soundtrack, the Hunger Games movies soundtracks (especially Mockingjay Part 1), trance, or classical music. It just can't have any lyrics or I get distracted lol.
My favourite thing is when I'm reading a fantasy novel and I'm playing the Skyrim soundtrack and the song matches what's happening in the book. Like listening to Steel on Steel while reading a battle scene? Top tier.
For the most part though, if I'm really into the book I won't even realize that there's music playing until I suddenly lose a bit of focus, but I just like that background noise.
