I am finally ready to query and I read a lot, well 1-2 books per month + schoolwork, but have not found anything like my story.
Quick synopsis without giving it all away:
MC is normally a player, but when she goes on a work trip she sleeps with the woman of her dreams, only problem is, she's already dealing with a toxic situationship at home.
She struggles with admitting her new feelings because she's never felt them before a long with breaking off the four year relationship that she's failed to acknowledge.
Lastly, she has a boss that does some questionable things to people under him and helps cultivate his downfall, which ends up reflecting badly on her as well.
The major themes are:
One night stand to lovers
Worst bosses
Overcoming childhood trauma for love
My main character is queer and black but I don't believe either one of those things are significant with finding a comp but if it helps you, please help me.
