Christmas or winter themed books that feel like a late 80’s/early 90’s Christmas movie?

One of my favourite movies to watch during Christmas is Prancer with Sam Elliott. The storytelling, atmosphere, setting, and nostalgia of this film are all things that I love. This has nothing to do with wanting anything about Santa Claus. I’m just looking for a similar atmosphere or vibe in a book.

Another movie that has winter scenes with the atmosphere that I’m looking for is the 90s film André. There’s just something about late 80’s/early 90’s Christmas movies that you don’t find nowadays. I would love to find the same aspect in a book in someway.

I did post this a bit ago and got one recommendation for Winter Solstice by Pilcher. I do plan on reading that (thank you!) but I was hoping for more suggestions so that I could read several books like the above.

Kids chapter books are fine as well. I would say Miracles on Maple Hill by Virginia Sorensen has a similar atmosphere.
