Maybe look at some of Robin Hobb’s books.
There is always The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings books, which are top of my list.
Octavia Butler wrote some great stuff.
Arthur C. Clark’s Rendezvous with Rama series were great (to me, when I was a teenager)
I hear Brandon Sanderson does some great fantasy.
