Any recommendations for historical fiction books that are about American History (other than To Kill a Mockingbird, Grapes of Wrath, or any other classics). Most newer historical fiction books seem to be set during WW2 which are all great but I’m looking for a newer book set in a different time/place. I just read Kristin Hannah’s Four Winds which was amazing and interesting to learn a fictional but probably very realistic story about the Dust Bowl.
