My world has crumbled a little since I learnt my now ex boyfriend was a serial cheater with a secret family. Since then I’ve spent far too much time on Reddit, reading stories of cheating or complaints about modern dating. I’m not ready to date again, but I would love to read a book than sparked some hope and belief in the existence of couples that are cute, romantic and loyal to each other.

I don’t want anything heavily religious, nor a guide on dating. I’m thinking more a fiction or a collection of essays. The book doesn’t have to be solely about romance, I just want to read about couples that aren’t horrible to each other.

    1. Lisey’s Story by Stephen King. I promise, you will not regret it. It’s not really a horror story whatsoever.

And on a personal note, please keep your head up. What your POS ex did to you is not your fault. Just keep it moving forward, one day at a time, and allow yourself to heal. Best of luck to you!!!!! ❤️

With Love, From Cold World by Alicia Thompson because it’s about two seemingly different people who are actually really compatible and I liked seeing them grow as people outside of the relationship. Plus, it’s set around Christmas time!

The Undertaking of Hart and Mery by Megan Bannen because it’s about “older” (30s lol) people with jobs and lives and responsibilities and the importance of first impressions and really getting to know the people you see everyday! Plus, Hart is a dreamy MMC (imo).

Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid, even though the romance is relatively small in this story. I LOVED the pay off and this is kind of just a fun feel good story that makes you wanna do something cool.
