My nephew is 10 years old and is struggling to read. I get him a book for Christmas each year and I’m looking for suggestions. His teacher is insisting that he read chapter books to improve his reading. He has been reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid and says that they’re OK because of the occasional pictures. Any suggestions for chapter books at his reading level that have occasional illustrations?
