My daughter is getting a kindle reader for Christmas and we’d like to pre-load it with a couple books. It’s been a LOOOOOOONG time since I’ve been 13, so looking forward to some recommendations. I’m trying to broaden her horizons a bit, she’s very very much in love with the Warriors series, and has most of Wings of Fire. But they’re a little young for her, and below her reading level. I’m thinking of the Hunger Games books, any thoughts on the Fourth Wing books? I haven’t read them myself yet so I don’t know. Any other recommendations are welcome!!

What about “Out of My Mind” by Sharon M Draper? I was a year younger than her when I read it but loved it and was recommending it to friends for a couple years after.
The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. The first book is Cinder.
