What book should I get my mom for the holidays? Some of her favorite glasses broke recently, so I’m buying her a new pair, and in her actual prescription. I thought I’d get her a book too to go with her new glasses, but I’m not sure what to get her. She enjoys nonfiction books about people or places and their lives. From what I can tell, more modern nonfiction is what she loves. She likes learning about our local history (We live on the Pacific Northwest). Some books shes read recently and enjoyed are:
– The Untethered Soul by Michael A Singer
– The Thief in Your Company by Tiffany Couch
She kinda likes drama/action real stories. Maybe something with multiple shorter stories in it? Nothing political though.
Thank you!!

Don’t have anything perfect for this but Remarkably Bright Creatures is character driven fiction set in PNW and a main theme is the people and how their stories intersect. And the salt path by raynor winn is nonfiction about healing through time spent in nature (specifically the english coast).
I liked the books by David McCullough.
