I liked reading A LOT as a kid but as time went on I kinda fell out of love with it and now I want to rekindle that because I still remember how magical it was.
I'm looking for a book that is not too long and is not part of a big series of books.
Content-wise:
– I like fantasy (doesn't have to be generic medieval fantasy just any kind of fantasy) as a genre
– I like it when there's a bigger, core mystery going on that you can figure out if you can put together the clues scattered throughout the story and if you can't figure out it's a "HOW DID I NOT REALIZE THIS" moment. (As an example think about how Gravity Falls has a lot of scattered clues about the author or Bill Cipher before they are revealed)
– I love when stories are not scared to hurt their characters, where they have to make hard choices and big sacrifices, and are changed as a result of that.
– I also love when characters in a story have distinct personalities and are not just a different skin of the author
Reading this post I think this might be too specific of an ask but I still would appreciate any recommendations! 🌸 (+ if you help me you get a virtual high five and/or a written thank you with a silly animal pic)
