I am currently on winter break and have more time to read than I usually do. However, I am in the worst reading slump I have ever been in. In some cases due to my anxiety and mood-reading tendencies, I fully believe that my indecisiveness is the cause of this dreaded slump. It has been so frustrating. Therefore, I feel like asking Reddit for help seems like the right thing to do.
I particularly enjoy reading classic literature, literary fiction, sci-fi, fantasy and westerns. I dislike Young Adult and romance. Some of my favorites include Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy (who is my also my favorite writer), Hard Rain Falling by Don Carpenter, Stoner by John Williams, The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and Train Dreams by Denis Johnson.
Any recommendations are welcome. Thank you in advance 🙏
